The Verizon MDEx (Medical Data Exchange) is the first and only NHIN compliant data transport mechanism.  As an original member of the founding consortium with Verizon, StenTel has deeply integrated the MDEx into its workflow platform.

From within the application, any patient note can be routed to any other provider within the MDEx, encompassing more than 200,000 physicians.  Regardless of facility, transcription service provider, or platform technology, the MDEx allows HIPAA compliant, secure information data exchange.  Additionally, physicians are able to receive MDEx messages into their Inbox on the Sten-Tel workflow platform from any other facility, transcription service provider or platform technology.
